Pro lock version

M645-LPL 0.8x is specially designed for video shooting as a both-side-locked version, which eliminates any shaking of the lens and provides stability for photography.

One stop brighter

By reducing the focal length of the lens, M645-LPL 0.8x increases light transmission, effectively increasing the aperture. For example, an F2.8 lens turns to F2.0. The depth of field is more blurred.

0.8x wider

M645-LPL 0.8x reduces the focal length by 0.8, the effective length becomes shorter so that the shooting range is larger. It allows the medium format lens view angle to be restored on the 65mm sensor.

Improve lens MTF
The 0.8x optics feature a telecentric design, to let light come into the digital sensor as vertically as possible. For some lenses, the quality of them would be improved after using the focal reducer 0.8x. We tested Mamiya 645 55-110mm f4.5 and 80mm f1.9 lenses by Zeiss K6, after mounting the focal reducer 0.8x, the lens quality improved.
